practice of learning NO04

it's so shame to release these practices (especially these 2 on one page) .
my teacher encourages us to make artistic creation about theme of Warcraft 3. so I tried to finish them through the knowledge I learned . I am very used to make bright , colorful cartoon scene and character , but in this way... I thought it could'nt be too hard , so I didn't make clear of what I really want describe (the woman elf or Illidan, or the whole atmosphere? ).and there's a goblin trying to steal an egg from a griffin , at first I wanna make cartoon characters so I exaggerated the shape of griffin's body...but I have no idea how the griffin turned out into a realistic face ... and the whole perspective seems so weird...
after 2 failed creation , I seriously introspected , and I decided to redraw the egg thief. this time I found some reference about the mood ,and I drawed a sketch first to make sure where the light comes from. then I colored. this time it's better (though not good enough).
